What Time Should I Upload to Youtube Weekend

More and more people are jumping on the daily vlogging training. We hear people or YouTubers talking about how their subscribers increased as they upload daily on YouTube. Is there some truth in these claims? To see if this would actually increase my subscribers, I decided to exercise an experiment to examination these claims and share the juicy stats and details with you.

Does Uploading DAILY on YouTube Increase Your Subscribers?

Daily vlogging is all the rage. It'south not a new concept, but more than and more we run across regular ordinary people like you and me uploading to YouTube daily.

But often getting just one video out at that place in a week, or calendar month… or at all… is a huge feat.

Similar HHHHUUUUUUGGGGGEEEEE. Right?

How in the world do people go on up with daily vlogs?

That's a smashing question, just I have a better one:

Does publishing daily actually help your channel abound? Does information technology aid gain subscribers faster? Will it assist your channel grow?

I ran an experiment on my YouTube channel in April 2017, and I want to share aaaall the juicy details and stats with you.

Video does take fourth dimension to set up, produce and publish. So before you start a daily vlog routine to pair with your blogging efforts, I wanted to give you lot the results from my own little daily uploading experiment. And then let me be your crash test buddy! (come across what I did there? I'g no dummy!)

My Hypothesis

There is conflicting communication out there on how oftentimes you should ideally publish to YouTube. Once per calendar week is a comment starting point, but I know people who upload every. single. 24-hour interval. Even weekends. Even Holidays!

And I have heard YouTubers say things like, "once I started uploading daily, my YouTube aqueduct TOOK OFF!"

So when I decided to take role in a "Web log Every Twenty-four hours in April" challenge, I honestly thought information technology would give me a bump in subscribers.

It only takes a little bit of math to see why I thought this way:

If 1x per week = x amount of subscribers, then 7x per week = 7x more subscribers.

RIGHT?!

Erm… not actually. Let'south take a look.

Uploading Daily Increase Subscribers Experiment

So let's dorsum up a little flake. I participated in something called VEDA, which is where YouTubers Vlog Every Day in April (or August, just I did April). When I started on Apr first, I had nine,192 YouTube subscribers.

So let's back up a little bit. I participated in something called VEDA, which is where YouTubers Vlog Every Day in April (or August, but I did April). So basically I was uploading videos on YouTube everyday. When I started on April first, I had 9,192 YouTube subscribers.

I started publishing weekly on my YouTube channel the first week of Jan 2015. So information technology took me 2 and a quarter years to go to 9k.

So I was booking it toward 10k.

In February, I netted 500 subscribers, and in March, I netted 504. And this was with a consistent publishing schedule of 1 video per week.

And so looking at the math… if I publish vii times more content during April, surely I could at least DOUBLE my subscribers during that month. Seven TIMES MORE CONTENT! That is A LOT!

But I gained less than 700. Non even shut to double. I didn't roll over the 10k mark until May. Cue the "whomp whomp whomp" sound effect.

My hypothesis was shot. Uploading daily on YouTube doesn't guarantee you an increase in your subscribers.

My Wins

No, producing 7 times more than content does not yield 7 times more subscriber growth.

But that'due south non the finish of the story. I did take three amazing wins!

Although I didn't cross over 10k during Apr similar I idea (and hoped), and my subscriber count didn't explode, I did accept some MAJOR wins that would be crazy to overlook, especially as a blogger.

ane. Views are upwards. And views on YouTube are HUGE. YouTube loves it when people view content on YouTube, and rightly then. And previous to VEDA, my views were looking pretty droopy. So I am pumped to see views going in an upward management. Non only were views up during this time frame, simply they are still up.

So I am pumped to see views going in an upward direction. Not only were views up during this time frame, but they are still up.

2. I created an amazing resource for my whole audience. My daily videos were part of a series – 30 Days of GoPro – A Guide for Beginners. I had information technology planned out, and information technology'southward for total beginners. So I wasn't vlogging willy-nilly on any I could come up with for the day, I was building an astonishing resources. And then that's washed. Created. Nail. Ready to send my email list. Ready for to aid my audience. Set up to create an opt-in for.

Ready for to help my audience. Ready to create an opt-in for.

iii. Speaking of opt-ins… I created a brilliant opt-in loop and added almost 550 new people on my email listing. Actually, I estimate about 100 of those people were already on my list, but however… posting daily on YouTube in Apr helped grow my email list. AWESOME. AND Information technology'Due south Even so GROWING MY Electronic mail LIST because the videos are still there. The series is nonetheless going. People are still finding my videos and opting in.

In summary, posting daily on YouTube didn't give me a bump in subscribers, at least not noticeably, simply I had 3 really powerful wins every bit a consequence of participating in VEDA. These are wins that any blogger or YouTuber would LOVE to have any fourth dimension!

But before you even get that far, have you lot considered with your video ideas will be a striking with your audience?
